The Challenges of Human Resource Management

The function of the Human Resource Manager is evolving with the change in competitive market environment as well as the realization that Human Resource Management must play a tactical part in the success of an organization. Organizations which don't place their emphasis on retaining and attracting abilities may find themselves in dire effects, as their opponents may be outplaying them in the tactical employment of their human resources.

With the escalation in competition, internationally or locally, organizations must become more adaptable, resilient, agile, and customer-centered to triumph. And within this change in surroundings, the HR professional has to evolve to be a a change mentor within the organization, and a strategic partner, an employee sponsor or supporter. To be able to be successful, HR has to be a company driven function with a thorough grasp of the big picture of the organization and have the capacity to affect policies and key decisions. Generally, the focus of the HR Manager of today is on abilities development and tactical staff retention. HR professionals will be mentors, counselors, trainers, and sequence coordinators to help stimulate organization's members as well as their devotion. The HR supervisor will even encourage and fight for principles, ethos, beliefs, and spirituality in the managing of workplace diversity, particularly in their organizations.

This paper will emphasize on an HR supervisor can match with the challenges of workplace diversity, the best way to move workers through gain-sharing and executive information system through appropriate preparation, directing, organizing and commanding their human resources.

Workplace Diversity

Based on Thomas (1992), aspects of workplace diversity include, but aren't limited to: age, ethnicity, ancestry, sex, physical abilities/qualities, race, sexual orientation, educational background, geographical place, income, marital status, military experience, religious beliefs, parental status, and work experience.

The Challenges of Workplace Diversity

The future success of any organizations relies on the capacity to handle a varied body of talent that could bring viewpoints, viewpoints and innovative ideas to their work. If an organization has the capacity to capitalize on this particular melting pot of varied abilities the challenge and difficulties faced of workplace diversity could be become a tactical organizational strength. With the mix of abilities of varied ethnic backgrounds, genders, ages and lifestyles, an organization can react to business opportunities more quickly and creatively, particularly in the world world (Cox, 1993), which must be one of the significant organisational targets to be achieved. More to the point, in the event the organizational environment doesn't support diversity widely, one risks losing ability to adversaries.
